DETROIT WATER AND SEWERAGE DEPARTMENT

ROMEO ARM OF THE MACOMB SEWER INTERCEPTOR

April 15, 2005 Update

The Macomb Interceptor was put back in service on March 14, 2005.

The trench has been back-filled to road level. On 15 Mile Road, all the concrete to be replaced has been removed and a new base for the road has been laid. Crews are in the process of breaking up and removing the road concrete in the Villa Fontana Subdivision. The department will be setting up a ‘batch concrete plant’ on site to produce concrete and facilitate road repair beginning the week of April 18th.

The three remaining construction trailers at the repair site have been moved to the northeast corner of Hayes and 15 Mile.

This site will be updated bi-weekly.
