About DWSD - Executive Management Team Click here to return to the Executive Team section George Ellenwood Assistant Director Public Affairs George Ellenwood Biography Mr. Ellenwood was named Assistant Director of Public Affairs in September 2006. Previously, he served as General Manager of the DWSD Public Affairs Group consisting of the Commercial Operations, Meter Operations and Public Affairs Divisions. He holds a B.A. in English and Modern Languages from Oakland University and an M.A. in Spanish from Wayne State University. Mr. Ellenwood serves on the Public Affairs Council of the American Water Works Association (AWWA) and the Research Advisory Council of the AWWA Research Foundation. He also serves on the Community Awareness Committee of the Michigan Section of AWWA and is a member of the Public Relations Society of America and the Water Environment Federation.
